Steve has served as head of public affairs for FFCJ since its founding in 2004 and was elected President and CEO in 2009. 

During his consulting career, he has supervised complex public affairs and litigation management initiatives for more than 100 Fortune 500 companies.  He has been engaged by more than 50 major corporate foundations to help develop giving strategy, policies and program evaluation techniques. 

Steve has worked with scores of nonprofit organizations on communications, marketing and management objectives. During the 1990s, he served as Corporate Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Prudential Financial corporate law department, which then included more than 300 lawyers and an annual budget of more than $250 million.

Steve has written several management books including Leveraging the Impact of Public Affairs, a 400-page handbook on maximizing the benefits to be achieved from government affairs, corporate communications, issues management and other stakeholder disciplines. His articles have been published in many magazines, including Chief Legal Executive, PR Quarterly, National Law Journal, Corporate Counsel, Metropolitan Corporate Counsel and the leading legal management magazine of China.

Todd Young is Vice President – Public Affairs for the Foundation for Fair Civil Justice.  The mission of the Foundation is to educate, motivate and empower the American people about the urgent need for legal reform in the U.S.

Since 1989, Todd has served in various legal, policy and communications positions for Fortune 500 companies, national public interest organizations, and professional associations.  In 1999, he was selected for The Heritage Foundation’s Guide to Public Policy Experts, an annual publication listing top policy analysts in the U.S.  As a multi-disciplinary, multi-year entrant, Todd provides timely research, legislative testimony, and media commentary on a range of business and constitutional issues.  His work appears regularly in national publications, on talk radio, and on national and regional television news programs.

In 2003, Todd was chosen as one of the “16 To Watch Under 40,” an annual listing of top professionals under the age of 40 selected by The Daily Report, Georgia’s daily legal newspaper.  He has drafted blueprint legislation that has been adopted in more than a dozen states on issues ranging from Unemployment Insurance tax cuts to private property protections limiting government power of eminent domain for private development purposes. 

Todd received a B.A. from Davidson College, Davidson, NC and a J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. 
 

Bob Dorigo Jones

Bob Dorigo Jones, who serves as Senior Fellow for the Foundation for Fair Civil Justice, is the author of the bestselling Remove Child Before Folding, The 101 Stupidest, Silliest and Wackiest Warning Labels Ever.  He is the host of a new national radio/Internet commentary, “Let’s Be Fair,” through which he shares important stories about the impact of crazy lawsuits and a litigation-happy culture on our communities and families.

Bob has overseen high-profile programs calling attention to the absurdity of lawsuit abuse, including the internationally profiled annual Wacky Warning Labels Contest. Bob has appeared on dozens of national and international TV and radio programs, including NBC Nightly News, ABC News’ 20/20, BBC WorldNews, FOX News, and CNBC.


Dorigo Jones, who served as president of Michigan Lawsuit Abuse Watch (M-LAW), a Foundation for Fair Civil Justice partner organization, has focused for nearly two decades on educating the public about how families, communities, and job providers are hurt by out-of-control lawsuit abuse.

Prior to joining FFCJ and M-LAW, Dorigo Jones served on the staff of the Michigan House of Representatives. He received a B.A. in economics and political philosophy from James Madison College at Michigan State University.

Steve is program director of Free Enterprise for the Marcus Foundation.  Until his retirement from Chrysler LLC, he served as the Company’s Assistant General Counsel for Government and Regulation.  He directed Chrysler’s Consumer Litigation Group and served as Senior Trial Attorney for several years. 

Steve is one of the nation’s leading experts on liability reform and has contributed to liability reform initiatives in many states and at the federal level.  He serves on the boards of directors of the Michigan and Florida Chambers of Commerce, the New York University Law School Center for Labor and Employment, the American Tort Reform Association and is legal reform advisor to the Council of State Chambers.  He also chairs the board of directors of the State Government Leadership Foundation, which is dedicated to educating state leaders on timely public policy issues.  He is a Senior Fellow at the Pacific Research Institute.  He previously served as Chair of the Advisory Board of the National Judicial College. 

His articles have been published by The Wall Street Journal, Litigation Management Magazine, Chief Executive Magazine, Inside Litigation, Investor’s Business Daily, The Oklahoman, Chief Legal Executive Magazine, San Francisco Examiner and many other publications.
