Steve is program director of Free Enterprise for the Marcus Foundation. Until his retirement from Chrysler LLC, he served as the Company’s Assistant General Counsel for Government and Regulation. He directed Chrysler’s Consumer Litigation Group and served as Senior Trial Attorney for several years.
Steve is one of the nation’s leading experts on liability reform and has contributed to liability reform initiatives in many states and at the federal level. He serves on the boards of directors of the Michigan and Florida Chambers of Commerce, the New York University Law School Center for Labor and Employment, the American Tort Reform Association and is legal reform advisor to the Council of State Chambers. He also chairs the board of directors of the State Government Leadership Foundation, which is dedicated to educating state leaders on timely public policy issues. He is a Senior Fellow at the Pacific Research Institute. He previously served as Chair of the Advisory Board of the National Judicial College.
His articles have been published by The Wall Street Journal, Litigation Management Magazine, Chief Executive Magazine, Inside Litigation, Investor’s Business Daily, The Oklahoman, Chief Legal Executive Magazine, San Francisco Examiner and many other publications.
